The Adventures of Vixen Sharp-Ears

Life is full of surprises, some times they come as great shocks... My dear friend, Taryn Fiebig, is not well at the moment and won't be able to play the lead in West Australian Opera's The Cunning Little Vixen this season. I am accepting the challenge to learn the title role (in English) before rehearsals begin in April with Stuart Maunder directing and Johannes Fritzsch conducting. I know Perth audiences were really looking forward to seeing Taryn again after her fantastic success as The Merry Widow last year. I am sure she will be returning again next season. I just hope I can do justice to this role, I have always wanted to sing in this funny (and also  tragic) opera by Janacek.
